Dried Cherry Scones
Reduce amount of half-and-half from original recipe from 1/2 cup to 1/3 cup.
Soak 1/2 cup dried cherries in 2 tablespoons cherry brandy for 15 minutes. Add mixture at along with egg mixture to dry ingredients.

Replace half-and-half in original recipe with eggnog or substitute 1/2 liquid with eggnog depending on taste preference.
Brush with half-and-half and top with sugar and a sprinkle of nutmeg before baking.
